“Do the verb to be the noun”. I got this phrase from Nathan Barry’s (Convertkit founder and entrepreneur) newsletter a few days ago.

If you do the activities a synthwave producer does, you’ll become a synthwave producer.

Many people want to become a synthwave producer without doing the actual work of a producer.

It’s like wanting to become a professional basketball player without ever training, or going to practice, or actually playing games in a competition. It sounds ridiculous I know, but I see it all the time.
