TRACK IN A MONTH BOOTCAMP

A painter paints, a writer writes, a producer produces music. It is critical that you’re always building your body of work as a synthwave producer not only to develop your skills, but to positively impact the world with your gifts.

It is very common for synthwave producers to enjoy very much experimenting with plugins, their DAW and their synths but really struggle when it comes to finishing tracks. I see it all the time on YouTube, on Reddit and inside my Discord community.

Finishing tracks is the most important public activity a music producer can do.

These days making and finishing tracks is nothing but joy to me. Sure, there are always challenges and obstacles that I have to overcome but I have the skill and confidence to finish each and every track I start. Typically in two weeks or less. Yes, you read that right, not two years, not two months. Two weeks or less!

My results aren’t due to my being a genius producer, because I’m definitely not it. I have simply found a repeatable process that gives me a clear focus, keeps me motivated, while allowing magical mistakes and creative discovery to happen.

I want to share and guide you through this process so you can experience how truly magical and satisfying producing music can become.

Program objective:

Produce a full length track in a month

What it is:

Four-week intensive group program where you’ll join a group of producers from around the world and produce a full-length track aided with guidance and support from the instructor (Alonso) in a safe environment with weekly milestones and accountability.

This program is for you if:
  • You’ve been involved in making synthwave for more than 6 months and can make good-sounding Main Stacks (8 bar loops) under the general umbrella of synthwave
  • You’ve yet to finish your first full-length track
  • You’ve finished full-length tracks before, but it takes you months and a lot of frustration, tweaking and second-guessing to do it

Alonso Carballo – synthwave producer, creator of the Synthwave Dojo YouTube channel and the Synthwave Dojo online learning platform.

Time Investment:

10 hours per week

Monetary Investment:

  • Week 1
      • Objective: Create a Main Stack (8 bar loop)
      • Q&A Call*: Monday
  • Week 2
      • Objective: Create a guided arrangement and additional parts
      • Q&A Call*: Monday
  • Week 3
      • Objective: Mix your track
      • Q&A Call*: Monday
  • Week 4
    • Objective: Create a basic master for your track
    • Q&A Call*: Monday

*All Q&A calls will be recorded and shared with the group in case you cannot attend. You’re welcome to send your questions for any calls you cannot attend.

  • Can create a simple 8 bar loop consisting of
    • Drums

    • Simple melody
    • Chords/Pads/Arpeggios
  • 10 hours of time per week for attending/reviewing the weekly call and completing your assignments
  • A Discord account for joining the private group (it’s free)
